Cultural care

Low maintenance and easy to grow in most soil types which are moist. Average watering but do not allow to dry out during extended periods of heat. Enjoys a semi shaded location but can tolerate full sun if avoiding harsh afternoon heat. No pruning generally required. May become herbaceous in very cold regions with fresh foliage re-appearing in spring. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring for optimum results.Give protection from snails and frost. Mulch well around plant to help retain moisture but keep back from touching stems.
